For those who wish to be my research or graduate student（研究生等での受け入れをご希望される方へ）: I would love to supervise only those whose research topic is related to my specialties ("historical sociology" is not enough, since it is too broad), and who already have some knowledge and linguistic skills necessary for that research. That you are interested in Japan or Japanese culture is not enough for application (you don't have to be interested in either to study with us).
